ANNE
BICKMORE
Was a local councillor in the early '80's and became a School
Governor as a result. School needed a lifeguard, so decided
to update life saving qualification and then went on to qualify
as a swimming teacher. In 1983 found employment as a lifeguard
with the local authority. Continued teacher training becoming
a Tutor by 1988. Set up own business in 1989. Fourteen years
later have a staff of around 15 a swim school of 400 pupils
+ local authority schools. Teach Aquafit five times a week
for Adult Education, run teacher training courses. Run life
saving courses. In 1997 achieved Exercise to Music certificate
and in 1998 qualified in Sports Massage. In 2002 completed
European Computer Driving Licence.
PAUL DEELEY
Paul has been involved in swimming for many years as a Coach.
He teaches Adults and also our school swimming programme SARA DENNIS
Has recently qualified as a Level 1 Teacher and has passed
her NRASTC. She helps out on a Saturday morning. MICHELLE EVANS
A qualified Lifeguard and Swimming Teacher, Michelle works
full time as a nursery nurse and teaches for us on a Saturday
morning. SALLY EVANS
A very experienced assistant teacher who has a successful
track record, particularly the beginners. MARGARET HATLEY
Margaret has been teaching for many years. She is an advanced
teacher and holds an NRASTC. LINDA JACKSON
Linda came into swimming via her three year old twins. Since
then she qualified as a very successful teacher and the
children love her. She works full time as a teacher's assistant. PIPPA JONES
A student in her final year at College before going on to
train as a doctor. Pippa assists us on Tuesdays. She holds
a Level 1 teaching certificate. ILSE OLIEMAN-GIETEL
Ilse is originally from the island of Curaco. She brought
her twin grand daughters to lessons. When they went back
to Holland, she wanted to help out with lessons. She is
Level 1 qualifed with an NRASTC. As a result of Ilse's interest
in swimming, her husband has also learnt with us. LISA PHILLIPS
Another teacher who came to us because of her son. He has
now moved on to a club. Lisa qualified as a full teacher
and has been teaching since 1997, later to become office
Administrator. JUDE SMITH
Brought her son to us seven years ago and then qualifed
as a teacher. She is passionate about swimming and teaches
for us on a Friday. VERONIQUE WALKER
is a qualified teacher and also holds an NRASTC SARAH WILKS
brought her son to our baby classes and then took her Level
1 exam. She holds a life saving qualification. JULIE WILLIAMS
became interested in swimming through her children. She
has recently passed her Level 1 and is qualified in life
saving.
